[a sincere hat tip for the idea,
and the fine youtube slideshow,
to CHS at firedoglake. . .
my earlier post on memphis, and
rev. martin luther king, jr. — 39 years on. . .]
from robert f. kennedy’s headstone:
“. . .he who learns must suffer. and even in our sleep, pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of god. . .”
and so — as CHS wrote:
. . .We live a lot of our lives wondering
at the “what might have been” scenarios and
potentials, but not nearly enough of our
lives in the “what ought to be” aspects. . .
i too, would ask — rather than spend
idle time wondering what might have been,
had they both lived on into their
golden years — that we think about
what they would have wanted the world
to look like, now, and then continue
being all about “making it so. . .“
now, some 39 years, on, today. . .
